Sports weekend

This weekend was full of sports news. First of all, on sunday, in Alicante, there was a cycling race. There were a lot of categories and a lot of teams of differents parts of Murcia and Alicante. The cadet category has to do 45 kilometres, with an altitude of 1.300 metres.

In San Pedro del Pinatar, there was a football match tch confronted E.F.B. Pinatar against Santa María de Gracia. The match finished 15-0 winning Pinatar. That was a match with a lot of goals for only one team. Now Pinatar is third and Santa María de Gracia is the last in the league table.

In Dolores de Pacheco there was another football team at twelve o' clock in the morning. It confronted Dolores de Pacheco against Club de Deportes la Manga. It finished 2-3, losing Dolores de Pacheco. Everybody says that Dolores de Pacheco played much better than La Manga, but a goal in the last minute impeded a draw. The match finished with a lot of fights from both teams, and the referee showed two yellow cards for each team. Now Dolores de Pacheco is eighth and La Manga is first.

Goodbye and hello students!

Last week, two students from third  of ESO have left school: Aroha and Jordan.
After near a year and a half, Jordan went back to England. And Aroha has moved to Torrepacheco.
It has been a pleasure to be their mates. We'll miss them.

On the other hand , we have  to welcome a new partera. Her name is Katie and she's from Britain. She likes dancing hip hop, she is 13 years old. She is studying now 2ESO in the bilingual group.
We are delighted to have a new friend!

Laura takes a vacation

What a pity that our English teacher Laura has gone because it's about to have a baby. She also left her position as a head of studies to the Literature and Spanish teacher Jose Antonio.
We hope that the English teacher enjoys her situation and  return soon, too. We'll miss her.

The Bandurria

The bandurria is a plucked string's instrument and it belong to the Spanish lute's group. In this group appears five instruments (soprano bandurria, contralto bandurria, tenor bandurria, contrabass bandurria and bass bandurria). The tenor bandurria is also called lute, at the beginning of the 20 century, because its form and sound remembers that instrument of Baroque, but really it doesn't belong to the same group. The tenor bandurria has a shorter mast and a semibrever bottom, although the instrument is even, as the lute. The bandurria hasn't got alike with the baroque lute, wich has got a curved bottom.

Trip to Cartagena

Yesterday a travel to Cartagena took place.

The students said it was not bad to have fun while they were with their friends and it was good to find out more about Cartagena. We left school at 9.15 and arrived in Cartagena at 10. Our guide explained us the importance of Cartagena Port and some buildings nearby. We saw the Roman Coliseum and the Roman Theatre from above, where we had lunch and heard the explanations of the monitor(Some students met and were talking to other foreign students)

After a three hour tour through Cartagena streets we came back to Dolores at 13.45.

JOKE 1

Resultado de imagen de sherlock and watson on a camping trip        Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they laid down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend.
"Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."
Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."
"What does that tell you?"
Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies, and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"
Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "It tells me that someone has stolen our tent." –
